Building structure

ArchiXML uses an universal building structure that applies to any kind of architecture, independent of cultural and temporal characteristics. The basic elements can be found in any part of the world and all epochs, in solid and timber-frame construction, in medieval functional buildings as well as in contemporary expressionistic architecture. The particular elements and their relationships are part of the ArchiXML language, so only the appearance (form and material) need to be described to create a specific model.
